SUMMARY:Hack that Knotweed!
DESCRIPTION:Release your inner assassin! Help the LSC and volunteers from the New England Aquarium  destroy the Japanese Knotweed growing at the Acton Canoe Launch. We will meet 10AM to 1PM on Saturday June 23\, before the heat of the day.  Knotweed is too hard to kill\, so our control plan is: Chop it several times a year\, db with herbicide\, and encourage other native plants so they will shade it out. We will be planting some small trees this time. Bring suitable clothing\, drinking water\, work gloves\, and pruning loppers\, if you have them. Be prepared for some poison ivy. Please contact Joe Holmes (Joseph.Holmes@alum.mit.edu\, cell 978-844-1182) if you can come\, so I know how many are coming. Parking can no longer overflow into the business next door.
