May is American Wetlands Month!
Each May we celebrate the wonderful world of wetlands by encouraging folks to visit and learn more about this extremely important habitat.
Below are some programs and activities you can sign up for during the month of May. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Acton Conservation Division by email (conservation@actonma.gov) or phone (978-929-6634).
Wetlands Species Walk
- Visit Heath Hen Meadow Conservation Land and try to see if you can guess that wetland species at each of the stations throughout the Yellow Trail.
- All Month Long
Pop-Up Garlic Mustard Pulls
- Join the Acton Conservation Division for some garlic mustard removal efforts at various conservation lands. Email ibergemann@actonma.gov to sign up for where and when!

Wetlands Trivia Night at TrueWest Brewery
- The Acton Conservation Division is hosting wetlands themed trivia at TrueWest Brewery. Join us to test your knowledge of wetlands!

Cyanotypes with Acton Memorial Library
- The Acton Memorial Library and Acton Conservation Division will be creating fun cyanotypes at two different events for kids and teens.

Wetlands of Acton Lecture
- Curious about the major types of wetlands? How many wetland species can you name? Join the Acton Conservation Division for a night of learning all about wetlands!

Family Beaver Walk with Acton-Boxborough Family Network (ABFN)
- Join the Acton Conservation Division and ABFN on a guided hike to a wetland to learn about wildlife identification and ecosystem functions!
